Our Volunteers

FEAST is the only catered residential sexuality festival in Australia, offering a high quality deeply connected community experience.

We are looking for passionate, community minded, generous and skillful volunteers to fill a number of roles and assist us in running this incredible, life changing community event. We need folks who work well in a team, are solutions focused, can self direct and are also happy to receive instructions. If that's you, read the details and submit your application below!

What You Receive

In recognition of and exchange for everything you bring to the space you receive:

​

  • A full festival ticket, including jam packed 3 day program.

  • Beautiful campsite (with BYO gear) or comfy dorm bed accommodation.

  • Fully catered gourmet lunches and dinners each day (volunteers pay $180 for food).

  • An incredible, unique team experience working with the FEAST community.
Your Commitment

As a volunteer you need to be able to commit to the following:

  • Attend 1 pre-event evening team weaving & briefing via Zoom.

  • Arrive on site by 10.30am on Thurs 22nd May, or earlier if you are part of setup crew.

  • Complete up to 10-12 volunteer hours and associated tasks at the shift times you are rostered.

  • Bring a friendly, professional, helpful and pro-active presence to the festival.

  • Show up on time and contribute your love and energy to the role you are in.

  • Contribute $180 for catering.

The Volunteer Experience

As a volunteer at FEAST 2025 you have a unique opportunity to belong and contribute to the amazing team that holds this transformative event. We deeply appreciate the love and energy our volunteers bring to the festival, you are an important part of this community!

We invest love and energy into building a closely connected, joyous and aligned team. We know that when those of us that stand at the core of the festival are solid and supported, it will flow out and create a high quality, transformative experience for the entire community. We welcome you into this process of co-creation.

The number of hours you volunteer will depend on what kind of accommodation ticket you request.

All volunteers must pay $180 for their catering which includes 6 delicious meals over the festiva. We offer a beautiful big lunch for our entire team on arrival on Thursday 22nd.

The remaining value of your ticket will be covered by your volunteer hours which are calculated at a rate of approx $50 per hour.

We create a roster that gives all our volunteers the best opportunity possible to participate in the festival program. It is important to us that you also get to learn, explore and connect. Some roles will allow for more engagement than others, you can get a more detailed sense by reading the role descriptions below.

Role Descriptions

Please Note: ALL volunteer roles also include a 1-2 hour pack down shift on the evening of Sunday 25th May from approximately 5:30pm, unless your maximum hours have already been reached. We will also be asking event participants to assist us and make it fast and fun for everyone!

Facilitator Supporters (6-7 positions available)

​

FEAST is looking for warm, attuned, attentive folks with great communication and people skills that love serving and assisting others - to form our Volunteer Facilitator Supporter Crew.

 

Applicants who are practitioners or facilitators of sexuality work or other helping modalities will be given priority in this role.

 

Each workshop space will have a Facilitator Supporter that is the guardian of that same room for the full length of their shift/s.

 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Offer facilitators any logistical support they may need during their workshop (e.g. welcoming participants as they arrive, managing numbers, adjusting the room setup as required etc.)

  • Showing facilitators how to use sound gear and any other room features, before their workshop begins.

  • Step in and out of activities if the facilitator needs to adjust participant numbers.

  • Tidy and reset room after each workshop.

  • Offer basic emotional support to participants and help them access our support hub if needed.

This role requires you to be onsite by 10:30am on Thursday 22nd May.

Approximate shifts include:

  • Up to 7hrs on Firday 23rd OR Saturday 24th

  • Up to 2hrs on Sunday 25th

  • PLUS 1-2hr packdown shift on Sunday 26th

Setup & Welcoming Crew (4-6 positions available)

​

FEAST is looking for handy, passionate, driven and logistically skilled folks to form our Volunteer Setup and Welcoming Crew. Experience in trade industries, event production and decoration is ideal.

 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation and decoration of the venue (things like, decorating workshop spaces, moving furniture, setting up lighting/boundaries/markings in campsites, setting up chill spaces and small marquees outside etc.)

  • Welcoming participants and directing parking (checking tickets and directing attendees at welcome tent and managing and directing parking etc.)

 

This role requires you to be onsite by midday on Wednesday 22nd May.

Approximate shifts include:

  • Up to 5hrs setup on Wednesday 21st

  • Up to 2hrs setup on Thursday 22nd

  • Up to 3hrs welcoming/parking fairies on Thursday 22nd

  • Up to 2hrs pack down crew on evening of Sunday 25th

Space Faeries (6-9 positions available)

​

FEAST is looking for friendly, reliable folks who have a great attention to detail and instinctive love for maintaining clean, beautiful spaces. Great care, cleaning and basic food preparation skills along with any relevant experience is ideal.

 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily cleaning and tidying of venue facilities (including - common spaces, dining area and wash up station, toilets etc.) (workshop spaces will be taken care of by facilitator supporters)

  • Maintaining, restocking and tidying snack table throughout the event.

  • Basic daily food preparation as directed by our wonderful caterer.

  • Any other venue/space care that may be needed.

This role requires you to be onsite by 10:30am on Thursday 22nd May.

Approximate shifts include:

  • Up to 8hrs on Friday 23rd OR Saturday 24th

  • Up to 2hrs on Sunday 25th

  • PLUS 1-2hr packdown shift on Sunday 25th
